Saturday, October 10, 2015 | 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
When good music, graceful hula dancing, laughter and the smell of onolicious food fill the night air, it is certain to be a Hawaiian family backyard Ho'olaulea! The Honolulu Ridge, at 3280 Round Top Drive will celebrate its first "Music at the Ridge" concert, when Kualoa at Dawn (Pokii Vaughan and Kula Abiva) who sing the classical songs of the Hawaiian repertoire take to the stage with the beautiful dancers of Halau Hula Kalehuapuakea and dancers from many other halau.
The program also features Ms. Heli-Silva Ducaroy and Hoku Hanohano Award winning singers Kekoa Kane, and Kupu Dalire. This dynamic trio will treat event goers with exquisite falsetto stylings reminiscent of the great Hawaiian singers pf the early 20th century.
This Pau Hana event is meant to bring our community together to enjoy the beauty of the Honolulu Ridge Estate, a beautiful 1920's styled estate that is rarely open to the general public. There will be food booths and beverages will be available for sale.
Original paintings and reproductions of Island scenes by fine artist Donna Tauati Burns will be on exhibit and available for sale.
